As Randall whispers his chant and raises his hands, a faint bell sound can be heard, emanating from all directions. The bandit clasps his hands against his ears as they do and scrunches his face as the sound persists, but it does not seem to affect him at all. Randall then strafes to the left and places himself behind a few trees, keeping his eyes on the bandits.
The wounded bandit steps forward and stabs out at William with his shortsword, but William is able to raise his shield and take the brunt of the blade.
Another one of the bandits takes a step towards Baeshra and slices out his scimitar against her. She takes a leaf from William's page and raises her shield in defense as the scimitar scrapes across the wooden surface.
The other bandit raises his crossbow after loading another bolt and fires it towards William. The bolt fires out of the crossbow too fast for William to bring his shield up in defense and the bolt pierces through his chain mail and into his clavicle as pain wrecks through William's body (William:9 Piercing damage).
William, it is your turn.

Gritting and bareing the pain, William swings the head of his flail again before swinging upwards and into the bandits chin. A spray of blood is knocked from the bandits mouth as he is sent upwards a little and falls to the floor dead.

The bandit next to Baeshra is about to slash the scimitar against the lizardfolk, but before he can, an arrow pierces into his jugular and blood pours from his mouth as his body convulses. He drops his weapon and falls to his knees, clutching at Baeshra as he does so before falling to the floor unmoving. Xander then moves through the thin trees and closer to where the bear is caged.
The bear roars once more as it bashes itself against the cage door again. The piton proves its might as it remains wedged, keeping the gate shut.
Baeshra drops her quarter staff as she moves closer to the bandit, raising her shield up in defence against him. With her free hand, she starts to wave it in the air as she mutters a quick incantation. What follows is unexpected, as she opens her lizard jaws and starts to growl and moan in the same fashion of the black bear.
Randall, it is your turn.

Xander loads another arrow before releasing it. The arrow flies through the air and meets its mark, piercing into the flesh of the bandit who groans in pain as it draws more blood.
The bear once again slams itself into the gate. The piton pings out from where it was holding the cage closed and the bear roars in triumph as it is now set free. The bear then bounds over to the bandit and stands on its hind legs as it releases another roar at the bandit.
Baeshra cheers as the bear is now set free and charges towards the bandit. She then sneers at the bandit. A slight hiss fills the air as she opens her jaws and lunges forward. Her jaw clamps around the bandits throat and he let's out a short scream that is quickly replaced by gargling. The bandit drops to the floor, missing a section of his throat as Baeshra swallows whatever she took from his flesh.
Combat is over. All players earn 50XP.
The bear drops to all fours before letting out a large roar once again at William. Baeshra immediately throws herself between the bear and William and starts to growl and moan like the bear. The bear returns some grunts and Baeshra returns them back aswell. This continues for a few minutes before the bear sniffs and turns around. Baeshra grunts a few more times to the bear before it starts to bound off into the group of trees and out of sight.
"Farewell, friend." Baeshra mutters before turning and smiling at William. "Baeshra did it. Baeshra saved bear. Thank you friends." She gleams proudly.

“I believe anybody else is harmed other than you.. but look at the bright side: the bear is free”
Says Randall to Willian with a not so slight hint of irony regarding the importante of their current task.
“Tend to your wounds... I’ll scout the cave in a safe manner.... just hold our ground”
Immediately after finishing speaking he whistles and an Owl appears out of nowhere in the distance above them (find familiar: reapear familiar).
Randall will then telepathically bond with Hope, instructing her to circle the area first and them stealthily scout the cave up to their bond can reach (find familiar: see and hear through familiar, range 100ft, stealth+3, perception +3 with adv., darkvision).

Randall You whistle and your owl reappears from it's own plane in the sky above your group. You then change your vision to that of the owl and can now see your group in the small clearing. Taking a look around the area, you do not see any immediate threat to the group and decide to head down and into the cave.
The cave is not large at all and only goes in for 10-feet before opening up into a naturally formed, roughly circular chamber. There does not seem to be any threat within the cave but there are two crates at the back of the chamber. There is no lid on the crate and with a closer inspection, you can see there are multiple weapons inside it. Greatswords, halberds, javelins, and a multitude of others. You can also see a large pouch that is filled with something, that rests next to the crate, on the floor.

“Well.. its seems to be just a small cave, with unguarded crates inside. I believe we can proceed with caution, as it might contain traps of some sort. The crates seems to contain a small armory with several weapons, not sure if there are more valuables.”
Says Randall to the group kind of expecting someone to jump in as a volunteer.

Everyone William volunteers to enter the cave by raising his shield and walking forward slowly. Baeshra copies him by raising her shield and moving alongside him into the cave.
Randall,Xander You both stand guard near the still-burning campfire, ready to assist William and Baeshra if they call out.
William With Baeshrs by your side, you start to slowly walk into the cave, keeping your eyes peeled for any traps or bandits lying in wait. The cave entrance goes on for ten-feet before opening into a naturally formed, roughly circular chamber. The cave is dimly lit from the sunlight that shines in from behind you.
In the cave, you see that there is a single crate that is unmarked. Against the crate is a large pouch that is currently closed by string, but is clearly filled with something. On top of the crate, the owl that you saw fly into the cave is perched onto the side and turns its head in yours and Baeshra's direction.

Randall follows Willian and Baeshra from a safe distance while paying attention in any detail that might seem useful (investigation +5) or dangerous (perception +0).
While entering the cave he telepathically commands Hope to land on his shoulder and gently pets her when she lands.

William examines the pouch and crate.
"Ah wonder who's this was. Maybe a merchant from town? We should get it back to Red Larch and have the magistrate find the owner. Were there more bandits?"

Randall,William William picks up the large pouch and the sound of clinking coins is heard. Opening the sack and looking through, he sees multiple, smaller, different style pouches. He starts to take them out and start to count as Randall enters the cave behind him. Randall and Baeshra start to look through the crate while William starts to count through the coin. Once done, William finds a total of 99 copper pieces, 74 silver pieces, and 13 gold pieces.
Baeshra and Randall pull out all the weapons and find alot of weaponry, mostly in good shape. Once all laid out they can see they have found 2 shortswords, a warhammer, 3 maces, 5 daggers, a short bow with 5 quivers of arrows totalling in 60 arrows, and a battleaxe.
"Baeshra does not see any more bandits and was not given a number of how many. Baeshra is only happy that the bear is free and will not be tormented by them again. We can take weapons back to Harburk, Red Larch's Constable. Maybe prize given, no?" She questions William in response."
Xander You stand outside as all three of your companions head into the cave to investigate. You hear nature make different sounds that add to the atmosphere. All is peaceful out here in the hot sun.
