Thorfin "Of course you don't, it's a bit big to carry everywhere!" He chuckles before scoffing at your letter and story of a ring. "There are thousands of knuckleheads out there, and you suppose your fathers ring will be lodged in my singing knucklehead?" He sighs before looking at the fish. "Look, if you're gonna wanna go poking through there, I'm gonna need some non-refundable security up front. Say twenty gold pieces? And you gotta promise you won't destroy any part of it. I see any signs of something nearly breaking, it stops." He gives you a very stern look.
Eirian As you finish your song with a final strum of your lute, which thankfully is in tune, to a few slow claps from the few audience members in the room. You look over to Thorfin and can see Scramsax is holding his hand out to him between looking at the knucklehead mantlepiece.
Mordecai,Ragnov,Solste Leaving the common room and standing at the door that leads to outside, you can see Thorfin in the common room, with Scramsax holding his hand outnbetween looking at the knucklehead trout and having a quiet conversation. The door to the tavern opens and three stocky figures bundled in cold weather garb stumble in toward you. They have snowshoes slung over their back and ice picks fastened to their belts, and two of them have thick beards with frost and snow covering them. The third holds up a gloved hand and say, through a thick wool scarf in a raspy voice, "Well met! I'm Hruna, and these are my friends, Korux and Storn. We need help and you look capable."

"You gotta believe in destiny, this is the first knucklehead I see in months. Anyway, 20 gold to look into the mouth of a fish sound like a scam... I don't want to risk my arm... I though this was a finer establishment" Thorfin takes back his letter and ring.

Solste stares back at Hruna, "What makes is seem capable? And exactly what are we capable for?" Solste stairs at the new, seemingly expectant individuals.

Ragnov turns to the new men as well. "What you need?" He asks, wanting to hear what problem they have.

Ian waits for Thorfin to join them at the door and with a pad on his back, he releases a torrent of life energy healing his companion's wound, "sorry that it wasn't the trout you were looking for," he smiled empathetically. (Action: Cure wound 1st level: 1d8 +4)

“You had me at ‘need help’. I am Mordecai, a faithful servant of the Morning Lord. What can we do for you?” Mordecai listens intently to the newcomers.

Eirian Deciding that it looks like Thorfin has got whatever is going on between him and the proprietor, you head over to the door with the rest of the group, where you see a crammed entrance with three stocky figures bundled in cold weather garb. They have snowshoes slung over their back and ice picks fastened to their belts, and two of them have thick beards with frost and snow covering them and are speaking with the rest of the group.
Thorfin Scramsax sighs as you take your ring and letter back, looking at the fish before looking at you again. "This is a fine establishment I'll have you find. Watering Bdyn Shnader isn't the easiest thing. I'll take a compensation of eight gold pieces, but you gotta be real careful." He gives you a raised eyebrow, one hand now on his hip.
Eirian,Mordecai,Ragnov,Solste As Eirian walks over, the beardless, female dwarf raises her hands in a welcoming gesture. "Ah, more of you! Great!" She beams a smile with stained teeth. "Well, The Northlook is the place in Bryn Shander to grab people looking for work! And you just so happen to be standing in the doorway. We're the survivors of a group of dwarves tasked with delivering a sled of iron ingots to Bryn Shander. A yeti surprised us and killed a member of our group. The rest of us fled as the yeti tore Oobok limb from limb. Now we need someone to go back and get the sled for us. As payment, we offer each of you a gemstone worth fifty gold pieces. The friendship of the dwarves in Icewind Dale can also be a boon in these harsh times!" She looks you all up and down and notices everyone prepped for winter weather. "Snowshoes, good! You'll need those to make the trip in good time."

"Don't worry about it; if it was really there, destiny wouldn't have bitten my arm: a clear sign I don't have to stick my hand in that place. Thanks for your collaboration tho" After bowing, Thorfin joins the others.

"Hmm, I think this is good to help, iron very valuable for city." Ragnov states, looking to the rest of the group and gesturing to the three dwarves, then turns back to the shorter folk. "I help you either way."

Solste looks at her colleagues, "We have outdoor work that may coincide with what these dwarves are asking of us." Solste looks down considering before again looking at the dwarves, "I find your request acceptable."

"Did yer want us to just get the cart back, or are yer looking for us to take vengeance upon these yetis who killed your comrades? 'Cause I don't reckon we can do the later?" Ian says, a troubled expression on his face.

Remembering the elemental sensor left at the table, Solste wordlessly leaves the group then to retrieve it. She returns to the party after doing so.

Mordecai muses on Eirians words and thinks of what he knows about Yeti’s. “No I’m not one for vengeance but this Yeti is a threat to all travellers. If we could save the supplies and end the threat then we would truely be making a difference.”

Thorfin Scramsax nods and breathes a slight sigh of relief. "Yeah, I'd prefer we didn't, but that's why I asked for the gold. Look, in my opinion, your dads ring is probably out there somewhere, either in the throatnof a knucklehead trout, or on the finger of some fella who plucked 'im out of one of the lakes and ate him for tea, finding the ring as a bonus." He looks up at the knucklehead trout and shakes his head. "But the one that's been sitting above my fireplace for the last eighteen years? Nah, can't be. Sorry lad. Good luck in your search though." He bids you farewellcas you walk back to your friends, but as you start walking, the fish turns its head from the wooden plaque and starts to sing common lyrics in a silly tune.
"There's a place I like to go Farther up the river's flow; Where it is, I do not know; Must be under all that snow!"
The trouts head moves back to the plaque afterwards, returning to its original position and Scramsax chuckles. "Never gets old!" He looks at your face and realises it is a mystery to those not familiar with The Northlook tavern. "Some prankster wizard placed a spell on the fish thinking I would hate it, but quite the opposite!" He laughs once more before putting you on the back and sending you on your way over to the door with the rest of the group, where you see a crammed entrance with three stocky figures bundled in cold weather garb. They have snowshoes slung over their back and ice picks fastened to their belts, and two of them have thick beards with frost and snow covering them and are speaking with the rest of the group.
Eirian,Mordecai,Ragnov,Solste Hruna nods in response tovthose that announce their acceptance to the quest, the frost-bearded dwarves also harumphing in approval. "Ah, fuck killing the yeti! He was a big bastard, otherwise we would've fought him off! Just get the cart back for us before you do go chasing him, otherwise we gotta hire other people to get our cart." She then listens to Mlrdecai as he speaks about the yeti being a threat to other travellers. "Aye, that's well an' all, except it was nowhere near one of the Ten-Town's travelled routes. It was half-way from here to Kelvin's Cairn. We walked a straight path, so if you stay on track and don't get lost, you'll get there. We'll show you exactly where we entered town,Cohen you're all ready to go." Hruna looks back and nods to her companions before noticing Thorfin join the group and realising he is with you all. "Might be able to take on that yeti yet!" She chuckles.
Mordecai Everyone who's been to past The Spine of the World know of the yeti, but not many live to see and tell the tale. The biggest piece of evidence that yeti exist are the blood stained patches of snow where a victim was mauled by the predator of the north. The other evidence is the howl that carries across the tundra late in the nights. There's a reason yeti are used as scary stories in a world full of monsters, and most people do fear the possibility of being the victim of a yeti mauling.

“Well we better move out why the tracks are fresh and the yeti is hopefully still sated by his unfortunate meal.” If everyone is ready Mordecai is ready to follow the dwarves out to the edge of town and start following the tracks.

Ian winces everytime someone mentioned taking on the yeti, visibly disturbed at the notion. "My house is on the way to the gate, yer mind waiting a tad so I can grab what's needed? I'm not looking to fight the yeti, but it's dangerous out there, init? Right tools for the right job," he says, padding his bongo with a laugh.
