Fang You watch Tarina play Baldur's Bones with the other two in your group, carefully eyeing her for any quick movements or use of sleight of hand in her playing style. You don't notice anything sneaky going on and she seems to be rolling the dice fairly. She does seem intently focused on the other two playing the game and pays no heed to you or Jessica sat at the table.
Eliza,Gwendolyn,Fang,Jessica Tarina pays very close attention to the words that come from Eliza and Gwendolyn, smirking the whole time as she darts her eyes between the pair. "Rolling a four sided die would really hurt when slamming 'em onto the table!" She chuckles. "Alright, reveal!" She lifts her hand from the table and reveals a set of six six-sided die, one 6, two 5's, one 4, and a single 1, totalling a complete twenty one. Eliza raises her hand to show the same amount of dice but the faces show one 6, one 4, two 3's, one 2, and a single 1, totalling nineteen, coming short of Tarina's twnety-one by two. Gwendolyn's hand is raised and shows four six-sided die with two 6's, one 5, and a 2, totalling 19, also coming short of Tarina's twenty-one!
Tarina throws her hands into the air in celebration as she realises her dice caused her win. "Haha! What a game! So close, yet so far, right?" She winks towards Eliza and Gwendolyn before pulling the six gold pieces on the table towards herself and placing them back into her pouch, but leaving the pouch on the table within close reach. "Fun little game, eh? Fancy another round? Could get you to win your losses back, or we could go a little lower? What about you two?" She finally turns to acknowledge Fang and Jessica with the rapid firing of questions towards all of you, clearly getting a thrill from the adrenaline that the win gave her.
Sonio Sitting at the top of the stairs you manage to be able to catch a small glimpse of the door. After you hear some small excitement from the table where your companions and Tarina sit, you notice the door open and five motley humans saunter into the tavern. The leader is a brawny man with a cloudy right eye, a cruel sneer, and a pirate's swagger. The others are an unsavoury, rowdy bunch who walk in acting like they own the place. "We're looking for an old friend of ours," says the dead-eyed man. He sniffs the air. "Goes by the name 'Tarina', or so I'm told. Loves to cheat at Baldur's Bones." He spits to the side. "Tall glass of ale to the ones who show me where she is!" He barks to the patrons of the downstairs section of the tavern.

Fang snorts as he hears the results hos face frowning and grumpy as is his norm. He leans to whisper to Jessica, "she is an accomplished cheat, I have seen nothing to indicate how she is altering her rolls."

Sonio lets a smiles escape for a second, connecting the fact that his friends have indeed fell into the cheater's trap, like the newly arrived sailors confirmed. Then he goes back to his straight face looking down the stairs. He tries to check if anyone will try to tell Tarina's "friends" where she is and if he spots them, trying to discourage them with a harsh look.

"Bull-!" Eliza stops herself before recollecting her thoughts. "I'm done. I think our starting bets were a little too high. You two have fun." It's hard for the wood elf to conceal her anger amidst the loss.

“You seem too lucky for me, but it was a fun distraction. Hopefully your friends won’t be too far off.” She takes a drink and looks over to Sonio for any signal he had spotted anyone.

Whispering back to Fang, she shrugs, "Maybe she's just that good... or lucky."
She scoffs quietly, "Either way, I don't mind having her on my team."

Eliza,Fang,Gwendolyn,Jessica Tarina pouts as her offer of another game is declined, but just shrugs her shoulders and places her coin pouch at her side once more. "Ah well, was fun while it lasted. Now we can all sit here and wait for the next schmuck to walk in and play. That, or my old crewmates'll show. Who knows?!" She jeers and raises her tankard before taking a large gulp.
Gwendolyn You look towards the stairs and can see that something has grabbed Sonio's attention, but you aren't sure what as he stands and starts creeping down the stairs a bit.
Sonio You pay attention to the downstairs taproom and instantly notice several shouts of fulfilling the information of Tarina's whereabouts. You step down a few steps to get a good look at them, but you notice that none of the people taking the offer are looking in your direction at all. The man asking about Tarina points towards one of the men who has their hands up. "You. Get this man a tall ale." He shouts towards one of his lackeys before moving over to the table to have a discussion with the man, not sitting down as to not waste time.

Sonio stands up, turns around and walk up the stairs to meet the gazes of his companions, nodding his head to signal the arrival of the sailors. He picks back up his shield and weapon and blocks the doorway with his body.

Fang leans forward towards Tarina giving a few sniffs to the air, before looking drawing a silver piece from his pouch. As Tarina puts the cup down he brings the coin out and attempts to bounce it off the table into Tarina's Cup.When Tarina attention is gained Fang gives her a knowing look as he tilts his head slightly.

Gwen turns back to the others and reaches for the greatsword she rested against the table and speaks as she rises out of the chair. “Ah, it looks like the party is about to get started. Sonio, why don’t you invite the guests up? Their evil is going to stench up the place if we let them linger. Best to just get on with it.”

Eliza gets up from the table where Baldur's Bones was being played and moves to a corner of the room in preparation for the arrival of Tarina's 'friends'. She makes herself to be as inconspicuous as possible in an attempt to surprise should a fight actually break out.

Jessica, the least charismatic of them all, wonders if they could possibly talk their way out of this. Sighing, she shakes her head and draws her shield, just in case they can't. Her hand was quite ready to draw her rapier should things head in a downwards spiral.

Sonio accepts Gwen's proposition and moves at the corner just at the end of the stairs, letting the incoming men pass but still keeping his weapon ready.

Eliza,Fang,Gwendolyn,Jessica As Sonio gives you all the nod that it is time, you all start to prepare, with Eliza moving towards an empty table and sliding into a seat trying to remain inconspicuous, and Gwendolyn and Jessica drawing weapon and shield ready for the inevitable oncoming fight. Fang leans forward and slams a silver piece onto the table which hops off of the wood and tings into Tarina's cup, who gives Fang a confused look before shrugging and downing her drink, and catching the silver piece with her teeth which she proudly shows towards Fang before spitting it into her hand and placing it into her coin pouch. "I'm guessing they're here then, seeing as you're all prepping." Tarina let's out a small laugh as she draws a dagger from her waist and places it onto the tablebefoe turning in her seat to watch the stairs like everyone else, except Eliza who attempts to remain as uninvolved as she can.
Sonio Picking up your shield and weapon from the banister at the top of the stairs, you take a position that would block the stairs, but with Gwendolyn giving the go-ahead to let them pass, you lean more towards the wall, allowing a space to be passed through but remaining stoic in your defense.
Everyone A minute or two passes as you all sit, waiting for Tarina's old crewmates to come up the stairs. Sonio is the first to see the leader of the group and his lackeys stomping his way up the creaky, wooden steps. He glares directly towards Sonio with a sneer on his face the whole time. As he gets onto the same step as Sonio, he looks down at him before chuckling, the smell of rotting fish pouring from his mouth. "You're alot scrawled than the ogre and armour they got down there." He leans in towards Sonio a little bit more. "Nah, I don't think you're an official bouncer for this place." He then turns his head and scans his eyes across the room before settling them on Tarina. As soon as he sees her, the man steps past Sonio and draws his scimitar, his lackeys following close behind and also drawing their scimitars. He then scans both eyes, even though the right one is cataract-clouded, around the group gathered around Tarina. "I would suggest all of you leave now. Otherwise you'll join Tarina at the end of my blade." He holds up the scimitar as a threat.

Fang briefly looks at Jess before rising from his chair. His body jerks awkwardly as his eye's widen in pain and his body begins to swell. Fang's muzzle and teeth extend, as do his limbs and fingers as his long nails carve into the table. Once his transformation completes.

Gwen raises her much larger blade in return. “Ah, sees that’s going to a problem. You see your old friend here promised us some information and in turn I get to rid this city of the likes of you. It’s a good deal on my end. But the barman down there did ask nicely not to make a mess, so I will give you one fleeting opportunity to leave this city with your blood and innards intact.”

Everyone Tensions grow within the lounge as all of the other patrons go silent and listen to the exchange between Gwendolyn and Tarina's old crewmate. Fang starts to breathe heavily and rapidly as his body swells in size and a scratching sound is heard as his nails dig into the table (9 temporary hit points gained). The dead-eyed captain turns his head briefly towards his men, who have all fallen silent at the exchange, before looking back to Gwendolyn. He raises his unarmed hand and stares at the blackened gold ring that has a pearl set into it, sucking inwards through his teeth as he does. "Yeah, you see, that ain't gonna happen." He lowers his hand and glares directly towards Tarina with his single eye before turning the glare towards Gwendolyn. "Tarina ain't giving you that information, 'cos she'll be dead. Seems you've also made you choice too."
Initiative:Eliza,Bandit1,Jessica,Fang,Gwendolyn,BanditCaptain,Bandit2,Bandit3,Tarina,Sonio,Bandit4 The captain snorts through his nostrils before gritting his teeth and raising his scimitar threateningly towards Gwendolyn. Eliza, it is your turn.

Seeing and hearing that Gwendolyn's attempt at aggressive diplomacy has failed. She moves to act first. Getting up from her seat she takes the shortest possible route to the closest of the newcomers, drawing her rapier on the way. Once in front of the man, she rears back her wielding arm and stabs out with no restraint. With Gwendolyn being near the man already, Eliza uses the opportunity to sneak attack.

Initiative:Eliza,Bandit1,Jessica,Fang,Gwendolyn,BanditCaptain,Bandit2,Bandit3,Tarina,Sonio,Bandit4 As the tensions rises to the complete boiling point, Eliza stands from her seat, still stemming away from the two groups in the room, and makes her way towards the stairs while drawing her rapier stealthily and making it look like she's trying to get away from the situation. At the last second as she passes Fang, Eliza takes a sidestep to stand infront of the dead-eyed captain and pushes her rapier forward, piercing the pointed end through his studded leather and into his skin, causing him to react with pain.
One of the lackeys of the captain steps up next to his captain and swings his scimitar towards Eliza, but she is swift and notices the blade coming towards herself, ducking under it as she wrenches her rapier point from the captain.
Jessica, it is your turn.
