Eliza takes in the sights of the tavern, slightly perturbed by the sight of the ogre but, she does not make a face to show it, in fear of the repercussions. A small snicker does escape her though as she sees the passed-out man on the couch followed by an "Aw." as she watches Sonio help the man out.
Afterwards, seeing Fang take the initiative, she walks over to follow on his side but slightly behind him, curious herself to see what the barkeep has to say.

Jess follows Fang and just looks around. Since he already asked about Trina, she just keeps her attention focused on the others around them… People who were watching them.

Sonio Seeing the drunkard passed out on the couch in a precarious position, you make your way over to him and place your arms underneath the man to begin helping him gain a better position on the couch while the rest of your group head to the bar to ask for a lead on Tarina. As you jostle the man, he abruptly wakes and grumbles at you as he glares at you with rolling eyes while perking himself up in the couch. "Ger off me, yer fuckin' devil spawn. I'll ave yer guts fer my breakfas'!" He growls to you while his head lulls slightly. His hand starts to reach down towards a sheathed dagger on his waist, but before he can act any further his head falls back onto the couch and he returns to drunkenly snoring.
Eliza,Fang,Gwendolyn,Jessica The elderly man behind the bar turns his attention to you all as you approach the bar together while grabbing tankards in advance. "Tarina? I'm sure she's upstairs currently, playing cards. You lot debt collectors? If you're here for that, just don't go breaking any of my property, otherwise it'll be coming out of your coin purses." He gives a wary eye towards each of you, accompanied by a serious tone.

Sonio takes the man's dagger so he doesn't get hurt while he puts him back to sleep, not really caring about being gentle anymore. Then stands up and reaches the others.

Nodding at the bartender. "Don't be expecting any trouble from us." Fang turns to Jess ready to follow her lead.

“We aren’t here looking for a fight, or to collect any debts. We shouldn’t be long.” Gwen says stepping back from the bar heading to the stairs. “But no promises.”

Eliza nods as she hears both of her companions' answers, nodding a second time for Gwendolyn's addition of lack of promises. "Far be it from us to cause damage to your lovely tavern Mister-- Uhm, Bartender." Eliza heads up the stairs and looks around for individuals playing cards as mentioned and more specifically, a cocky-eyed woman.

When Fang looks to her, she nods and leads the way.
She makes her way to the stairs and looks for a group who is playing some cards.

Sonio leaves the dude's dagger on the counter without a word, then follows the group upstairs.

Sonio You take the dagger from the unconscious man so he can't drunkenly slash someone with it while moving away from the man. You then start to make your way back towards the group, and as you pass a table, you manage to hear a heated debate going on at the table between three men. "Yeah? Well I'll bet my last copper piece that those so-called refugees are just advanced scouts for an army preparing to attack Baldur's Gate!" "Well, their gonna have an easy time with it! The Flaming Fist is decapitated. The captains are just bickering over who should be in charge with Ulder Ravengard gone." "With Ravengard out of the way, who'll be the next Grand Duke, I wonder? My money's on Thalamra Vanthampur. Practically born in the sewers, she was, and more vicious than a swarm of rats!" The men all chuckle at the last statement before continuing to drink heavily from their nearly empty tankards.
Eliza,Fang,Gwendolyn,Jessica "I should hope not." The bartender continues to squint his eyes very slightly as he judges the size of your group. "My name's not Bartender either, it's Alan Alyth and you're in my establishment, so treat her with care." He nods before continuing to pour ale into tankards and handing them to one of the server boys to take to a table as Sonio now jois you all.
Everyone With Tarina being pointed out as possibly being upstairs playing cards, Jessica takes the lead and walks onto the stairs that creak under each footstep that is taken. Once you all make your way to the top of the stairs and into an upstairs dining room where lit lanterns hang from rafters to provide for the lack of light that pours into the windowless room. Two empty couches sit in opposite corners of the room, surrounded by several closed doors on each of the walls that make up the dining room. Two long tables sit in the western portion of the room and are currently filled with a gathering of a few drunken people, eating and playing games of Baldur's Bones while causing a ruckus that is slightly dampened by the rugs that lay on the hardwood floor.
Without any warning, the tavern is suddenly filled with a disembodied voice of a female. She sings in a language that some of you do not understand, but her voice instantly causes the rabble at the large tables to stop instantly as all of the people present pause in their activities to listen to the melancholic voice fill the air.
Eliza,Jessica You are able to understand the elvish words that fill the air.
O sing a song of Elturel Of water, woods, and hill The sun dawns on her ruddy cliffs And fields green and still.
This land of long-abiding joy Home of the strong and brave Renowned by all, across the realms, And never once a slave.
O sing a song of Elturel When foes are at her door Her fields torn by cloven feet From some infernal shore.
Arise the mighty Hellriders Take up your swift, keen swords Then charge into the hellish fray And scatter devil hordes.
O sing a song of Elturel And when the night does fall Sleep safe beneath Companion's light Until the dawn does call.
We're bound by mortal covenant That only ends with death And so we'll sing of Elturel Until our final breath.
Both of you know that the Companion referred to in the song is the name given to the artificial sun that burns over Elturel, protecting the city and the surrounding lands from undead.
Everyone Wth the last line of the last verse clinging to the air as it fades out, the drunken patrons start discussing the song that was just playing. "Strange. Don't she normally sing about the sea or something or other?!" "Kind of. She laments over a lover lost at sea. But that was all about Elturel and hell it sounded like." "Maybe the spirit of the elven maid has been listening to the rumors a bit too much then!" A few of the men chuckle before a fist is slammed against the table by a female human with her back towards you all.
"Alright, shut your pieholes about the bloody song and roll your dice." She spits towards one of the men who just grumbles and rolls a set of three dice onto the table, covering the result with his hand. "I'll stand." He smirks toward her, which she responds with a shrug and then rolls her own dice. "I'll stand also." She cockily replies while leaning back in her chair. "Hah! I got you now you son of a bitch! Twenty it is! No way you can beat th-" the man triumphantly stands from his seat with arms in the air to reveal his dice, but his whole demeanour drops once she reveals her own. "Twenty-one?! But how? That's four twenty-ones in a row now, Tarina! You gotta be cheating or some shit!" The mqn slams his fist against the table and places his hand onto the handle of his sheathed blade. "What can I say? Luck of the sea? Or maybe it's just that women are better than you at Baldur's Bones. Now pay up." She stares towards the man who has one of his friends place a hand onto his shoulder to calm him. The man begrudgingly grumbles something under his breath before moving his hand to a pouch on his belt and chucking it across the table. "Come on lads. Let's get out of here. I ain't losin' no more money to his con." He spits on the floor before making his way from behind the table and is followed by his two friends, leaving a few spaces around the female named Tarina who counts her newly-aquired coin, still unaware of your presence seemingly.

As she was the one leading the group, Jess walks over and clears her throat. "Excuse me, Ms. Tarina?"
She offers a friendly smile, unsure of how the woman would take her interruption.

Fang moves flanking Jessica's right side. He sniffs the men leaving and immeadiatly deciding his dislike of them he instinctually growls in a low barely audible tone before turning his attention to Tarina.

Eliza almost feels a tear escape her as she listens to the melodic and melancholic voice. She catches herself as she remembers where she is and what her group's objective was, hunting and killing.
After observing the game before her, a laugh escapes from her lips as she hears one of the men blame Tarina of cheating and subsequently complain about losing their money. She stops herself abruptly as to not draw the ire of the unlucky individuals and moves to Jessica's right side, waiting to see the reaction of the woman in regards to her new companion's inquiry.

Gwen listens respectfully to the song, wishing she had paid attention to her language tutor years ago when she tried to teach her the language. But her focus had always been on those of own origin and their enemy. The elvish language sounded sweet, safe and comforting. After the song finishes she watches the exchange with the men with interest, trying to gain any insight she can into the women’s methods. As the men leave she quickly moves to fill one of the abandoned seats, having to shift her greatsword off her back in the process and set in leaning against the table. She places her hands on the table plainly, to show she has nothing to hide. As the others gather around and Jess begins the conversation Gwen nods and adds “We would like to have a polite conversation with you. Forgive the arms, we are on duty and on our way to deal with a problem you can hopefully assist with.”

Hearing the beautiful song, Sonio clenches his fists and walks back on the stairs, just outside hearshot. Even if he couldn't understand the words, something connected with him. After a while, he comes back upstairs, standing besides the door and looking over the room (and who tries to come up) from there.

Gwendolyn Watching the exchange between Tarina and her gambling rivals, there's nothing odd you notice about her methods that would lead to a suspicion of cheating taking place. Some people just really don't like losing and will look for any excuse to try and get their coin back.
Elkza,Fang,Gwendolyn,Jessica When Jessica speaks Tarina's name, she pauses in her counting and her shoulders go slightly tense as her right hand instinctual goes to her sheathed weapon at her hip. She turns around to see you all and relaxes herself briefly, but still on guard. "Yes?" She asks slowly, running her eyes over each of you and trying to gauge the reason you are here. Gwendolyn shows her empty hands on the table, and Tarina places a hand near the silver and copper pieces instinctively as Gwendolyn takes a seat in the stool opposite her. "Polite conversation? In Blaldur's Gate?!" She scoffs. "Well I haven't heard that before. Go on then. What is it?" She asks bluntly while trying to keep her eyes focused between Gwendolyn and the rest of you behind her.

Gwen sits up right and pulls out her badge and twirls it her fingers as she speaks “A mutual friend, Captain Zodge sent us. You handle those coins well but I understand you also trade in another kind of currency: information. The Captain said you owe him one and this is your chance to balance the books. What can you tell us of the Dead Three? I have a delivery for them….” she waves her free hand to indicate her greatsword “and it’s an express.” she adds with a smile.

Fangs nose instinctually bares his fangs while his face turns to a snarl as Tarina touches her weapon. A low gutteral growl can be heard by those closest to him. Otherwise Fang remains still as the interaction between Gwen and Tarina continues.

Eliza doesn't budge as she notices the woman go for her sheathed weapon, 'Smart. Four strangers approach me from behind and I'd probably be a little more than suspicious.' "Yes. We are looking for the Dead Three's fanatics as my companion mentioned. We've been told to clear them out and to make sure they don't continue to poison the city with their... extreme views and actions."

With Gwen and Eliza asking questions, Jess decides to listen quietly. There was no need to shower the woman with a bunch of talk from several people. Might get her nervous… or annoyed.
She stands next to Fang as she looks around to see what else was happening in the room.
