Initiative: Folkre, Milo, Drake, Kobold1, Kobold5, Kobold2, Cole, Nahusca, Kobold3, Woman, Eko Eco.
Getting onto one knee to perfect his aim, Drake steadies for a second before releasing the arrow. Unfortunately, his aim seems to be off my a metre, and the arrow strikes into the soil.
The two kobolds ensnared in the vines writhe, trying to break free. Only one of them manages to break free and starts to trudge it's way through the vines, towards Milo. It gets out of the vines and runs the last five feet at him, with dagger raised in the air. The dagger sinks into Milo's shoulder, but it only adds to the fury of his rage. (Milo:2 Piercing damage).
One of the kobolds closer to the woman strikes out at her. She isn't able to deflect the blow in time and the blade sinks deep into her thigh. She looks really rough.
Cole, it is your turn.

He spins counter clockwise while moving to his right slightly to better his angle on the kobold. He completes the spin while simultaneously releasing the blade in a high arching back hand throw. Cole moves forward while he calls out to one of the kobolds. With a graceful spin, he chucks the dagger towards the kobold infront of the woman. The spin seems to send the blade off its mark and it goes wide.
Nahusca, it is your turn.

Nahusca moves in and stands beside Milo. He then swings his longsword at the kobold. The longsword sprays an arc of blood over the ground as the kobold falls to the floor. He then delivers a final insult to the kobold before setting his sights on his next target.
The kobold with the woman snarls at her as it moves around behind her. It then jumps and sinks its dagger into her shoulder blade. She lets out a shriek as the blade sinks in and she falls to the ground, lifeless. You all hear an audible cry from the children, hidden in the alley. The kobold turns and snarls a toothy smile as it approaches them.
Eko Eco, it is your turn.

As the vines had come up and begun holding the lizard creatures in place, Eko had felt accomplished. Surveying the battle field, he begins moving forward until he sees one of the lizard creatures move towards the woman. "No." -Little girl- As they begin to stab at the woman Eko picks up his pace until finally... finally... Seeing the life drain from her eyes, Eko cries out "No!" -Little girl-
Muttering under his breath, he pulls his staff from his back. After a moment, thorny vines begin to protrude from the quarterstaff until it looks as if mother nature designed it herself. Eko then continues to move towards the mean little lizard creature.

Folkre's eyes would widen, but only for a split moment before narrowing in on the third Kobold "You foul creatures... I'll make this swift." He would then move to the third Kobold swiftly, attempting to dispatch of it with a sword swing followed by him grabbing it's head with his offhand and delivering a knee to it's jaw.

Folkre rush's towards the kobold and swings his sword into the creature. The kobold is taken by surprise and in the last second turns to see the sword swing into it's own body. The sword cleaves through the kobold and a gout of blood arcs outwards from its body. It doesn't even have time to let out a cry of pain.
Milo, it is your turn.

Initiative: Folkre, Milo, Drake, Man, Kobold2, Cole, Nahusca, Eko Eco.
Milo moves around the weeds and vines and swings his axe at the kobold that is still entangled. Milo does not take the vines into account of the kobolds body proportion and only hacks away at some of the vines. He then swings out again with the second axe in hand and it cuts into the vines. The vines start to leak a red blood which actually comes from the kobold. The kobold stops writhing in the vines but it's body is held in place by the vines and weeds still.
Drake, it is your turn.

Drake notches another arrow, only to release it towards the last kobold on the field. It stands no chance as it turns to try and flee, but the arrow pierces through its back and the kobold falls to the floor.
Combat has ended. All players earn 33XP each.
Once the kobold falls to the floor, the man and children run past Folkre, towards the woman, who now lays lifeless on the floor. He picks her up and caress's her corpse as he weeps. "Mommy? Wake up mommy. The people killed the dragons!" The youngest looking child says as she shakes the woman. The other two children just stare, emotionless, at the scene before them.

Folkre stares down at the now dead woman, and the children with a solemn look on his face. "I'm sorry I wasn't faster." He goes silent afterwards, not knowing what other words could do any good for them in such a time. He turns back to the group, and sighs, his hair blowing in the wind that follows death.

Seeing the little human cry over its mother, Eko too begins to mourn. Falling to his knees, the flockless kenku begins to sing a slow mournful song he had once heard at a tavern. He heard the song the day a human known as "village elder" died. The song was played on a strange instrument he had never heard before, bagpipes. Between each each breath, Eko lets out a quick sniffle as he tries to hold back his tears.

Nahusca sheathes his sword and drops his shield to the ground. He then grabs two kobold corpses and secures them to the top of his backpack with rope. While he does this, he watches the emotional scene with no emotion. "Your mother was fierce, hatchlings. If you hurry, you can ensure that her efforts and her meat do not go to waste." He looks at Cole. "Do you think that we can win this fight?"

"Win?" Cole will up too the sky. "unfortunately for Greenest the day seems lost." Cole looks over to his lizard folk companion with a wry smile, "but I am sure for Nahusca there are many victories ahead if those fellows are any indication." Cole looks back to the man and the children.

As Milo's rage calms down he looks around at the scene in front of him. He starts to walk towards the family, but stops after a few steps and instead goes to get Buddy while looking around for danger.
