"Heading back to Greenest is ideal, we can inform the Governor of what we learned and hopefully resupply ourselves," he says before crunching down and giving the footprints a quick look over, "Seems others have come this way too," he points out the footprints, "Is it Kavalan you smell?" He asks Eko

When asked about Kavalan the wolf will nod his head.
Once the group is ready, he will continue forward with them on the look out for danger.

Everyone At the confirmation of heading back to Greenest, the people following seem to perk up in slight glee at the promise of home. Eko Eco confirms through wolf geatures that it is Kavalan's scent that he has pi led up on and you all continue to follow the trail.
After another half hour of moonlit travel along Kavalan's trail, the grass gives way to the rocky landscape you all passed through. The footprints do not continue in the rocky terrain, but Eko Eco continues to move along before suddenly shifting back into his regular form of Kenku. A small flickering light ahead can be seen nearer the valley that you had all originally come through. Approaching closer, you can all see there are two figures, one slumped on the ground and the other sat upright. The upright figure turns its head towards you all and stands at your arrival. Kavalan stands there, holding a defensive stance. "Oh my god. You all survived!" Kavalan drops his defensive stance and hurls himself towards you all with an open embrace. "What happened? How did you get out?" He quickly starts to ask as his mind races as he looks around at everyone. "Where is Milo and Haru? Come, let us sit near the fire." He gestures for you all to get closer to the small campfire. "Please, get comfortable. We were only stopping for a small rest before we continue." He gestures to the slumped figure. Looking at the figure, you can see a male human with tanned skin. Some of you instantly recognise him as Leosin and Folkre instantly moves to his side.

"I am glad to see you both survived also, unfortunately the same can not be said for Milo," he gestures to the small form of Milo, "And as for Haru we haven't seen her since I was captured and she fought alongside me, I fear the worst," he looks down at the ground before taking a seat by the fire, "We also have very little equipment so the journey back had best be clear of cult patrols," he goes to pull out his pipe and tobacco then sighs when he realises he no longer has either.

Cole remains standing looking into the fire. "Do we think we have time to rest? We should continue our travel to Greenest, no?"

"It would be foolish to get caught after escaping this narrowly. We can rest once we know we're safe, back in Greenest"

Shifting back into his normal form Eko sighs in relief to see Kavalan, his nose finally able to take a break. After being assaulted with hugs by the man he had been following, the large bird pulls away before patting him on the head. "You need to change your eating habits friend, it was simple to track you." -Folkre- Turning to the group, Eko begins to lick his and before running it over his face feathers and beak. "Yes, it would be foolish to stop... regardless of how much i wish to..." -Wilhelm-

"I'll take Milo for now, Leosin are you able to move now? If not Kavalan would you be able to carry him? Either way as Wilhelm and Eko say we cant stay here," Drake moves over to Milo and picks him up ready to carry him over his shoulders and gets ready to set off back to Greenest.

Everyone Kavalan shakes his head wearily. "I'm sorry I couldn't have been there. Wilhelm sent me to get Leosin. He put up a fight about leaving, but then a horn was sounded. I managed to tempt him to leave with me before whatever the horn was." Kavalan chuckles lightly. "Went to untie him, but he had already done it himself. Apparently had been free for a few hours. That horn I'm guessing sounded your capture? Well, it helped us get out of there. I didn't know it was all of you. I was hoping maybe someone had got out, but I had to continue. Our mission was to get Leosin out, and he is out. So are others it seems. Please forgive me if it looks like I abandoned you all. It was not my train of thought." He looks each of you in the eye in turn, a slight look of shame across his face.
Drake moves over to Leosin and asks him a question but gets no response. "He's actually asleep. I don't blame him either. Guy is real tuckered. The rest was actually for me. My feet are killing me after travelling all this way." Kavalan moves to the fire and starts to smother it by kicking dust from the rocky landscape onto the fire, makingnsure to not kick in anyones direction. "However, seeing you all has renewed my determination. Let us go." He then moves to pick up Leosin but Folkre starts lifting Leosin gently before giving Kavalan a nod. "I'll carry him. You have carried him this far." Folkre then handles Leosin to get him onto his back and then beginning to follow Drake as he leads everyone back towards Greenest.
Over the next few hours, you all continue to move through the valley that you had originally tracked the cultists through and back out into the rolling hills that surround Greenest. Another hour of walking and a few lights are spotted in the distance, showing the familiar sight of Greenest, its central keep illuminated with torchlight across the parapets. You all sigh relief as you realise safety is just on the horizon, and the danger has passed for now.
You all make your way trhrough the sleeping, quiet village of Greenest. You notice as you walk through the streets of housing, some windows that were broken are boarded and temporary doors of cloth hang on the inside of the door frames. All of the buildings seem to be empty with the absence of light and sound and the only light sources coming form the parapets of the central keep.
Moving towards the currently closed gate, a guard spots your approach and waits for you to get closer before calling out to you all. "Hail, heroes of Greenest! Open the gates!" He calls downwards behind the walls of the keep and after a few seconds, the iron portcullis starts to raise slowly and you all start to advance into the centre of the keep. You are met by two Greenest guards who smile at your return. The rescued villagers are lead inside by one of the guards before briefly thanking you all with kind words and embraces. "Welcome back! Governor Nighthill is currently asleep in his quarters, but orders have been left for your return. Please, follow us." One of the says before leading you all across the courtyard of the keep and towards the large tower like building the parapets are made from. You are all lead through a corridor and down similar stairs to the rooms where you resided the night before last. The guards stop at the bottom of the stairs of the corridor that contains the four, seperate sleeping quarters. "We will notify Nighthill of your return when he arises. Please rest as long as you need." The same guard speaks before they both leave you all alone in the corridor.
You all separate yourself into rooms, Folkre making sure to stay with Leosin and also taking Milo's corpse to lay to rest before arranging a burial next to Buddy on awakening. You all move into your separate beds and finally rest yourselves, finally feeling your aches and pains as you lay to rest for the evening, sleep taking all of you very quickly and very suddenly.
Wilhelm When sleep hits you like a brick, you are met with a familiar glowing silhouette that you interpret to be Bahamut. You then see a collection of chromatic dragons of many different colours flying around behind the glowing silhouette of your patron and one of them dissapears unexpectedly. The scene of Bahamut's glowing figure and the chromatic coloured dragons fade from view before feeling a breeze brush across your skin and daylight coming to your surroundings. You stand in a field on the side of the road and watchas a transport wagon bumps across the slightly rocky road. A male human holds the reigns of the horses that pull the cart and you notice another two humanoid figures riding the cart. One of them is completely silhouetted like the driver of the cart. The other is silhouetted but a bronze glow shines off of the silhouette of the other figure.
Your surroundings change but the cart remains in view as the fields and road around you shift into a street filled with buildings that the cart passes through. You quickly recognise the area as Greenest and continue to follow the cart with your eyes, the silhouetted figures still aboard. The gate pulls up to the keep and the two figures get off of the cart before finally moving into the keep. Your vision finally fades to black and you find yourself drifting amongst your own mind and feeling the soothing comfort of slumber.
