Appearance:Pale gray skin with dull blue hair and white eyes. Iridescent horns sweep around the sides of his head from the back to the front.Wings of blueish black feathers.
Wears a heavy black poncho of fine, glowy material with slits in the back for wings. Underneath the poncho glimpses of armor itself the family colors can be seen, dark purple with silver trim and detail.

Backstory
Verus was born a half-elf and was part of a wealthy family of Human and Half eleven ancestry with a strong infernal bloodline that meant tieflings were frequent. His family only really joined the cult out of self interest in the belief that they would be able to use it to increase their own power. Because they weren't truly committed beyond their own benefit they tried not to commit all their children to the cause.
Instead of being told of his familys involvement in the cult, Verus was shipped off to an expensive academy. While his parents and older brothers sank into cult politics, Verus found a passion for music and magic, and was fascinated by how music could pull magic into the world. He always felt like there was a beat he could almost hear, and his magic seemed to pulse in time with it.
During a break in lessons Verus took a trip back home, hoping to suprise his family. What he found instead was the smoldering remains of the family estate, his parents and brothers and the house servants all hanging from trees out back. After burying the victims, Verus poured through what was left of the house looking for clues as to why this tragedy happened. He eventually discovered the truth of his family's secret. After more digging he was able to put together a list of most likely suspects who his family considered rivals in the cult.

He swore himself to vengeance. In his grief and rage he spilled his own blood in a wide circle on the floor of the houses ballroom and he pleaded to his family's long lost infernal ancestor to help him avenge their family. That hidden beat he could always feel swelled all around him, drowning everything out. When he regained consciousness he found himself transformed. He had become more purely tiefling than anyone in his family for a very long time, even possessing great blue-black feathery wings. Before him, balanced perfectly on one end, was a black staff that flared out on the top in a squared shape. The surface of the staff seemed to pulse with the beat.
He could hear the beat now and always, and he knew it for what it was. The voice of his ancestor, their pulse and their will. His magic pulsed along with that beat, and when he found his enemies he would bash them against it until there was nothing left of them.
