Wakathas You begin looking around the cairns for anything to indicate an entrance or exit of any kind that would lead to a possible tomb that lies under the hill, however your search finds nothing around the top of the hill and with a quick skirmish through the air to view the bottom of the hill, you still find nothing to suggest anything beneath the grassy mound. Everyone Rix remains silent this whole time, arms crossed, before nodding in response to Heide's suggestion to exhumed the possible graves, while the shepard, Larmon, begins to go a little pale. "I just remembered, I've got some things to take care of. I'll be heading back to town now, unless any of you require me for anything else?" Larmon sheepishly looks about at everyone, waiting to be asked anything more before making his way back to town. "Alright, let's get this over with. No need to dirty your hands, everyone. I've got this." Rix winks to Heide before waving his hand rhythmically, causing the semi-loose earth to vibrate gently before getting more violent before suddenly upheaving itself from the ground and hanging in the air. With a flick of his wrist, Rix sends his dirt a few feet away and drops the spell which makes the floating dirt mass to slam into the ground. Rix then repeats the process for the other three dirt mounds and then stepping back to allow the holes in the earth be examined. You all move closer to look into each hole in the ground and find a corpse lying in each one. The first corpse is a male dwarf, dressed in artisans robes. The next corpse is a female human dressed in a black surcoat, her arms folded across her chest and holding a red axe. The third corpse is a male human dressed in a black cloak and some strange form of stoney, heavy armour. The final corpse is another male human, but dressed in a white cloak, dirtied by the earth he was buried in, with black feathers sewn into the shoulders. It is very obvious to see that these four died from piercing wounds or crushing blows to certain parts of their bodies. Heide You recognise the red axe that is held by the female dressed in a surcoat as a symbol of Miribar's army, which leads you to possibly believe this female may have belonged to that army. Either that or this female found a Miribaran axe and kept it until her death.

Heide frowns at the sight of the wounds, then lowers her head once she's taken in their attire. "I do believe we've found most of our missing delegation." She points to the dwarf. "The historian Bruldenthar, I'd wager. He was carrying manuscripts that the Harpers were concerned would fall into unscrupulous hands. I don't suppose we'll find them on his corpse, but we should check." Then she points to the woman with the axe. "And I'll bet you that's the fallen knight they were transporting for burial. That axe comes from Mirabar, near the Spine of the World where she was said to have been slain." Her eyes pass over the remaining corpses, the armored man and the man with the feathered pauldrons. "I don't see our moon elf here, with her seeds for the Abbey."
She looks back to the two humans. "As for these fellas," she continues, indicating the two humans, "Lady Ushien made no mention of them. I wonder..." The armor and the black feathers strike her as something that ought to be recognizable. Perhaps somewhere in tales or studies she has heard of them. (History +2, Religion +4)

"You think whoever killed them buried them here? Or someone remaining from their group buried them here before chasing after the people that attacked them?" Wakathas ponders out loud as he approaches the bodies for a closer inspection. (Investigation +1). "Ya reckon this lad 'ere is the hero's body they were transporting to Summit Hill?" he asks as he begins his inspection with the block cloaked body with the stone armour, "if not, then whoever attacked took the body with them, which is quite strange."

“It’s quite uncommon to carry foes and provide them burial services leaving them with armor and weaponry of great value and leaving cairns so the corpses can be easily identified” Randall ponders “this does not seem to be the perpetrators doing.. maybe the rest of the delegation escaped, at least long enough to burry their companions… maybe they left a track from this point that we were not yet able to find” Randal then proceeds to investigate the bodies and the area around for anything of interest (investigation +5).

Heide You stare at the body of the unknown men that are dressed in peculiar armour, one in stone armour and the other with black feathers at the shoulder, you begin to ponder on anything you may know about such dress. The stone armour throws you through a loop as it seems rather impractical to wear such a heavy piece. The feathered armour taps something in your brain for sure though, and as your head looks up towards the Feathergale tower, it clicks. You have heard that the Feathergale knights do adorn their armour with feathers and that this armour looks exactly like you would imagine.
Wakathas You begin searching over the corpses in the shallow graves for any objects or belongings that may hint at something more than what has been established, however there is nothing on the bodies at all.
Randall You begin looking around the area for any possible markings or tracks that could have been left behind by the delegation, or anyone else who was present at the scene, but unfortunately find nothing apart from the confused set of bootprints that don't seem to move up the hill or down it, meaning somehow someone, or a collection of people, arrived here by an air mount or some form of teleportation magic.

A thought clicks together in Heide's head. "The one with a feathers must be a Feathergale Knight. Strange that they would get mixed up in this and buried with the same care as the others. I can't wrap my head around our stone armor friend, though. Seems impractical to me, so I figure it has to have some meaning. Maybe something to do with all this earthen nonsense we've gotten ourselves tangled up with."
She kneels closer to the bodies for a moment. "I think we bury them a little deeper and then move along. I'd say the Feathergales might have some insight if we care to approach them. But we also have that merchant to look into."
While she waits for a response from the others, Heide reaches out to rest a hand on the red axe to feel for the telltale tingle of magic (or the absence thereof). She has an idea in mind, but whether the weapon is magical or not may factor into her decision.

“Whatever the ones responsible for those graves came here, they left either by magical or flying means, and although I cannot make sense of the reasons behind this burial ground there are not much left here other than the deceased belongings…” Randall says visibly annoyed by the lack of conclusion to the misters, although preparing to follow Heide’s lead.

"Right? Who would they bury these bodies? And why? Shouldn't it be easier to leave them in the open?" Wakathas considered, "and yeah, the stone armor seems outta place..." he trails off as he begins to dig deeper and deeper down, mindlessly going ever so deeper as his mind races through the possibilities.

Heide Resting your hand upon the red axe that was buried with the female, hoping to feel a vibration of magical energy that may come from the axe, but alas you feel nothing of the sort in the few minutes you wait. You feel that if there were any magical hums of energy, you would most likely need to spend more time than this to detect it.
Wakathas Digging deeper and deeper in the hope of finding the dirt to become loose and possibly reveal a hidden entrance of some sort, you eventually begin struggling with removing the earth. It becomes more and more compact the deeper you go, causing it harder and harder with each feathered hand of dirt you scrape. You get the idea that there really may be nothing here but earth and eventually bedrock. You make sure to clear all dirt from your feathers and suit with a few casts of presdigitation, continuing to cast wven when you are sure your suit is fully clean.
Everyone "Well then, maybe we should approach Feathergale Spire if we want to question these knights. Unless we feel the need to go back to Red Larch and question the merchant? Shouldn't take too long to get back to town, but that spire looks like we could make it by dusk." Rix gestures to the spire way off in the distance, sitting among the edge of the Sumber Hills.

With only a brief sigh of disappointment, Heide stands again. "I've been itching to have a word with the Feathergales... maybe see just how fierce they really are. I vote we dig these graves a little deeper and head to the spire. Don't much want to go back to town until we've done something a little less predictable. If anyone's keeping tabs on us, it might put an end to it."
